When it's a struggle

If you find yourself speaking to a Gaelic speaker, in person or on the telephone, and you need to bring the conversation back into English, there are several phrases you can use.

It's important to be positive. Don't say "I can't". By using Gaelic to say that you are trying to learn, the customer or client is more likely to trust you to provide a good level of service. Using Gaelic (or Gaelic with English) promotes a "Can do" image.

The phrases in this lesson reinforce the image that you, as an individual, and your organisation are progressive and committed to improving service.
