Running Event on GGW - Saturday 5th of July

The Great Glen Ultra Marathon will be taking place on Saturday the 5th of July. Participants will be running the length of the GGW, starting in Fort William and finishing in Inverness.
Low Route between Invermoriston & Drumnadrochit - Closed from October 2025 for 4 months
The low route between Invermoriston & Drumnadrochit will be closed for around three months from October 2025 (exact date TBD). Users of the GGW will have to follow the high route instead.
GGW section along Loch Oich is open to the public again
The section running along the east side of Loch Oich is now open to the public again. The Invergarry link will remain open as an alternate option for people wishing to pass through Invergarry.
