Privacy notice

The Resilience Alert website has been created to send alerts to members of The Highland Council staff in the event of a major emergency. Individuals may register for alerts by providing their mobile number so that an emergency text may be sent to them.

The Staff Messaging Policy sets out the purpose of the system.

If you don't provide a mobile number we will be unable to deliver send you an alert in the event of an emergency. No other personal data is required.

We need to process this personal information to fulfil our contract with the customer (Article 6(1)(b) of GDPR)

Who we share your information with

We use GOV.UK Notify as a 3rd party provider to send text messages.

Highland Council have signed a Data Processing and Financial Agreement contract with the Notify service.

By subscribing to the alerts you are agreeing for your mobile number to be used to receive alerts. Your mobile number will be retained for as long as you subscribe. You may unsubscribe from the alerts at any time. Your mobile number will be automatically deleted.

Your personal information is not subject to automated decision making or profiling.
