Overview

Highland Council secured LEADER funding towards the first phase of a project to improve the infrastructure on one of Skye’s most popular attractions – The Old Man of Storr. The funds will be used to upgrade and increase parking provision at the site which has seen an explosion in numbers over the past 20 years. The project will benefit both locals and visitors through eased congestion and improved facilities, and will also provide a revenue stream through charging for use that can be reinvested for the future preservation of the site, which is a driver of the local economy.
