Steven Pottinger was awarded LEADER funding for a project to diversify his farm at Barrock Mains in Caithness into a tourism accommodation provider. The project will create two large luxury cabins for guests on an elevated, south facing site with wonderful views over the farm. The grant aims to secure the future of this family-run business and provide economic benefits to the surrounding area by working in conjunction with local businesses for the laundering/cleaning of the cabins and attracting high-end visitors and their associated spend. |
