Overview

The Gairloch and District Heritage Company secured LEADER funding towards the cost of relocating to one of only four surviving Anti Aircraft Operations Rooms (AAOR) in Scotland. The funds will help transform the derelict AAOR to create a dynamic new cultural, social, economic and educational hub for the community, and a visitor attraction for Wester Ross. The project will provide much needed local business floorspace for let, strengthen the financial resilience of the museum and is forecasted to create four jobs.
