Overview

The Highland Council were awarded LEADER funding towards the cost of commissioning a bronze Ford Model-T sculpture in Fort William. The sculpture is in homage to Henry Alexander, an Edinburgh Ford car dealer who in 1911, managed to ascend Ben Nevis in a standard Model T Ford car. It is hoped that the artwork will act as a further draw for visitors to the area and increase footfall in the centre of Fort William.
