The Highland Council were awarded LEADER funding to employ an Electric Vehicle Officer whose role will be to build capacity in rural Highland to enable the use of electric vehicles and decrease the region’s carbon footprint. The project aims to set up a variety of car clubs in different locations, investigate other rural transport models using EVs and work with the tourism industry to develop a strategy for visitors going forward.
