• Impact of funded projects can be better demonstrated leading to increased capacity to secure future funds

The Scottish Crofting Federation were awarded LEADER funding for a project to assist crofters and smallholders to develop new skills, allowing them to confidently consider the option of “green care” (the promotion of social, mental and physical wellbeing through working the land) as part of their overall business model.  The project involves the employment of part time staff members to deliver workshops and develop a network across Highland and Moray of crofters and smallholders who have expressed an interest in exploring diversification opportunities in the area of green care.
