Overview

Lyth Arts Centre were awarded a LEADER grant to upgrade the heating system at the UK’s most northerly mainland arts centre. The project will deliver a brand-new biomass heating system to replace the current storage heaters, provide loft insulation in all the buildings, and create a new plant room in a currently unused external building that will also be used as a staff office. The works will massively increase the environmental sustainability of the centre and place it on a sound financial footing for the future through a significant reduction in running costs.
