Reasonable Adjustment Passport

disability

We understand that our employees may require reasonable adjustments to remove workplace barriers and allow them to function to their full potential in a supportive and encouraging environment.  In 2022 we introduced the Reasonable Adjustment Disability Passport which is a live record of adjustments required to support an employee with a health condition or disability within their work that has been agreed with their line manager.

Our employees own their Reasonable Adjustment Disability Passport and if they move job roles or change line manager within the Council the passport can be used to ensure that new line managers are aware of required adjustments without the need to repeat potentially sensitive conversations.

The passport should be reviewed by the employee and the manager every six months to ensure that any adjustments remain the right ones to support the employee to have equal participation in the workplace and fulfil their work potential.  Completion of the Reasonable Adjustments Disability Passport is voluntary, but it should be available to employees where required.
