Food hygiene advice for businesses
According to food hygiene regulations, all food handlers must be supervised and, or instructed and, or trained in food hygiene matters.
Training courses for persons in the food industry are run by various colleges and private training companies throughout the Highlands. Courses are also available which offer specific training on Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point Systems (HACCP) and Hazard Analysis Systems. These are Food Safety Management Systems which seek to identify food safety hazards and put appropriate safety measures in place to prevent problems occurring.
