Food complaints
Complaints from members of the public about food are dealt with by our environmental health officers.
Typical complaints include:
- Food discoloured or smelling off
- Foreign body in food
- Product having been sold after its use-by date
- Food causing illness
- Unhygienic premises and food staff
Officers take these complaints very seriously, give them high priority and take appropriate enforcement action. This can involve an immediate visit to the premises where the food was sold.
