Choice Based Lettings is how we advertise available council and housing association homes in Highland.

If you're looking for social housing, this is where you can:
· View available council houses and flats
· See homes offered by housing associations
· Express an interest in a property (this is not a guarantee of offer)

Before You Apply
To view and apply for available properties, you must:
Have a live Highland Housing Register (HHR) application Apply to the Highland Housing Register (https://www.highland.gov.uk/info/925/council_housing/244/apply_for_a_council_house)
If you don’t have a live application, you won’t be able to bid on properties.

What if a Property is “Under Offer”?
Even if a property is marked as under offer, you can still record your interest.
Sometimes the initial offer may be refused but your interest helps us understand demand and offer the home to others on the register if needed.

You can also apply for housing directly with our partner landlords:

These landlords also allocate homes through the Highland Housing Register.
