In order to respond to your requests under the Data Protection Legislation, the Council must process your personal data. The type and volume of data will depend on the nature of your request.
The council will keep records of your request and its response. -
If you don't give us your information
We will not be able to process your request without processing your personal data.

Legal Obligation. The Council is legally obliged by the General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018 to respond to your requests. (Article 6(1)(c) of GDPR).

Where your request relates to information received from other organisations, the Council may contact these organisations regarding your request, if it is appropriate to do so.

Records of Data Subjects Rights requests will be retained for 3 years.
