Benefits - NHS Low Income Scheme

If you are on a low income but do not receive any benefits or allowances you may still qualify for help with travel costs or any of the following by applying for help through the NHS Low Income Scheme:

• NHS dental treatment, including check-ups  
• vouchers towards the cost of glasses or contact lenses
• Wigs and fabric supports, such as abdominal and spinal supports

The amount of help you are entitled to will depend on the amount of income you have. However you cannot claim help through this scheme if your savings are above £16,000 or you live permanently in a care home and have more than £23,250.
