School description
Tomnacross Primary is a non-denominational school providing primary and nursery education. The school is situated on the outskirts of the village of Kiltarlity, 11 miles west of Inverness.There are 5 full time teaching staff, including the Head Teacher, who teaches 2-3 days each week, and a Principal Teacher with responsibility for pastoral care. In addition the school is well served by visiting specialist teachers of Science, PE and Music.Tomnacross provides a stimulating learning environment for all its pupils and thrives on an ethos of encouraging and rewarding success in the widest sense. The school has a very supportive parent body and has developed many fruitful links with the local community.Our main sport is shinty but pupils also participate in extra-curricular athletics, cross country, orienteering and badminton, including competitions at local and National level.
