THE HIGHLAND COUNCILPROPOSE TO CONSTRUCT 1 RAISED TABLE AND 2 PAIRS OF SPEED CUSHIONS ON A99, KEISSNOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The Highland Council, in terms of the powers contained in section 36 and 37 of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984 as amended and of all other powers enabling them in that behalf propose to construct 1 raised table and 2 pairs of speed cushions on A99, Keiss to facilitate pedestrian safer routes through the village and to Keiss Primary school as follows:Description of the proposed speed cushions:--
The first set of speed cushions on A99 located 97 metres or thereby Southwest junction of C1093 High Street, Keiss

Where the proposed speed cushion is 75mm in height (max), 1600mm wide and 1900mm in length.

The second set of speed cushions on A99 located 147 metres or thereby Northeast junction of C1093 High Street, Keiss
- Where the proposed speed cushion is 75mm in height (max), 1800mm wide and 1900mm in length.
Description of the proposed raised table: -

The raised table on A99 located 13 metres or thereby Northeast junction of C1093 High Street, Keiss

Where the proposed raised table is 75mm in height (max), full road width (kerb to kerb) and 4950 mm in length with the approach ramp gradient of 1:15.
A copy of the plan and the Authority’s Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order, can be inspected at the Wick Service Point, Caithness House, Market Square, Wick, KW1 4AB, from 13th June 2025 to 13th July 2025 during normal opening hours - Mon to Fri : 0930 – 1230 and 13:30 – 16:00. Documents may also be found on the Community notice board in Keiss and at https://www.highland.gov.uk/roadsafety and selecting “Road Safety Consultations” or by emailing trafficorders@highland.gov.uk.Any person wishing to object to the proposals should write or email to the undersigned specifying the grounds of the objection.
