Where can I get more information?

Our aim is to support you to stay in your own home and live as independently as possible. If you need help with simple tasks around the home, there are a range of useful gadgets, adaptations and equipment that can help.

  • Ask Sara will help you if you are unsure about which equipment might help your daily living. It is a Disability Living Foundation resource which identifies services or equipment that can assist with self-management, self-assessment and preventing problems
  • Living Made Easy has information on aspects of independent living, advice on products and video clips of equipment in use. It is a Disability Living Foundation resource
  • Housing Options Scotland helps disabled people, veterans and older people to find the right house, in the right place
  • The Scottish Government’s website has links to independent living advice and help
  • Age Scotland has helpful guides on housing options
  • Care Information Scotland has information on equipment and adaptations and occupational therapy.
