Freedom of Information
Please consider whether you need to submit a Freedom of Information request at this time.
Due to the evolving nature of the COVID-19 pandemic it will be unlikely that requests are answered within their statutory time-scales. The Council is working hard to ensure that resources are focused on delivering and supporting essential services. You can continue to access many of our services online at www.highland.gov.uk. The Council has also set up a helpline to provide assistance during this time.
We appreciate your understanding during this unprecedented situation.
Click below to make a Freedom of Information request:
- Requests about adult social care should be sent to NHS Highland
- Requests about leisure services should be sent to High Life Highland
Alternatively, you can submit your request in writing to the Freedom of Information Officer.
We have 20 working days to respond to your request for information.
We will always make as much information available as possible. However, there are certain circumstances where we may be unable to provide you with the information you requested. If we propose to withhold information, we will tell you why.
You have the right to ask us to review our decision about any information which is being withheld from you. If you are still dissatisfied, you can appeal to the Scottish Information Commissioner.
