Committees

A special meeting of the Caithness, Sutherland and Easter Ross Planning Applications and Review Committee will take place in the Ross Institute, Halkirk on Tuesday 13 January 2009, commencing with site visits at 10.00am, followed by Hearings to be held in the Ross Institute (estimated commencement time of 1.00pm).

Members are invited to assemble at the Ross Institute, where they will board a bus at 10.00am, which will take them to the application sites, proceeding to Camster in the first instance and then onto Dounreay.  The Institute is located in the village of Halkirk on the right hand side of the main road north, directly opposite the Ulbster Arms Hotel.  Tea and coffee will be available for Members only, on the premises from 9.30am.  Members are respectfully reminded to wear footwear and clothing appropriate to the weather conditions.

At the conclusion of the site inspection, the bus will return to the Institute where, following lunch, the Hearings will commence no earlier than 1.00pm

Members are reminded that in the determination of a planning application, to be entitled to participate in any vote, they must be present throughout all of the proceedings, including the site inspection, if any.

Location: Land to East of Existing Dounreay Nuclear Facility, Thurso

Nature of Development: Construction of Facilities for the Disposal of Low Level Waste, comprising of up to 6 Shallow Sub-Surface Vaults and Ancilliary Infrastructure

Recommendation: Grant

Item 2.2 is subject to the formal Hearings Procedure and is scheduled for 3.00pm or at the conclusion of item 2.1 if later.

2.2    E.ON UK Ltd 04/00573/FULCA and 08/00090/FULCA PLC-02-09

Location: Cnocan Buidhe, Camster, Lybster

Nature of Development: Construction of 25 Wind Farm and Associated Development and Change to the Proposed Access Route to Proposed Wind Farm
