Committees

A special meeting of the Caithness, Sutherland and Easter Ross Planning Applications and Review Committee will take place in the Ross Institute, Halkirk on Tuesday 12 May 2009, commencing with a site visit at 10.00am, followed by a Hearing to be held in the Ross Institute (estimated commencement time of 1.00pm).


Members are invited to assemble at the Ross Institute, where they will board a bus at 10.00am, which will take them to the application site.  Tea and coffee will be available for Members only, at the Hotel from 9.30am.  Members are respectfully reminded to wear footwear and clothing appropriate to the weather conditions.


At the conclusion of the site inspection, the bus will return to the Institute where, following lunch, the Hearing will commence no earlier than 1.00pm.


Members are reminded that in the determination of a planning application, to be entitled to participate, they must be present throughout all of the proceedings, including the site inspection.

Nature of Development: Erection of 5 Wind Turbines, 60m High to the Hub, Formation of Access Roads and Associated Infrastructure, Construction Compound and Electrical Control Building (In Detail) and Formation of Visitor Centre comprising of Fishing Lochan with Enclosed Crannog Style Centre, Archaeological Trail and Woodland Walk (in Outline).
