Committees

A special meeting of the Caithness, Sutherland and Easter Ross Planning Applications Committee will take place in the Dunbeath Community Centre, Portormin Road, Dunbeath  on Tuesday 9 February  2010, commencing with a site visit at 10.00am, followed by a Hearing to be held in Dunbeath Community Centre (estimated commencement time of 11.00am).

Members are invited to assemble at Dunbeath Community Centre (map attached). where they will board a bus at 10.00am for the site inspection. Tea and coffee will be available for Members only from 9.30am.  Members are respectfully reminded to wear footwear and clothing appropriate to the weather conditions.

At the conclusion of the site inspection, the bus will return to Dunbeath Community Centre where the Hearing will commence no earlier than 11.00am

Members are reminded that in the determination of a planning application, to be entitled to participate, they must be present throughout all of the proceedings, including the site inspection, if any.

You are invited to attend the meeting and a note of the business to be considered is attached.

Nature of Development: Electricity Act 1989 – Section 36 - Application to the Scottish Government - 22 Turbine (66MW) Wind Farm
Recommendation: No objection.

Applicant: Mr A Sutherland 09/00393/FULSU PLC-02-10

Location: Land North East of Crocdarroch, East Clyne, Brora
Nature of Development: Erect 25kW Wind Turbine on 22.1m High Hydraulic Tower including Blade.  Control Gear to be Located in nearby Steading with Underground Supply Cables to Turbine and Hydro Electric Supply.
Recommendation: Grant
