Dear Member,


A special meeting of the Caithness, Sutherland and Easter Ross Planning Applications Committee will take place in the Ross Institute, Halkirk on Tuesday 22 June 2010, commencing with a site visit at 10.00am, followed by the Committee meeting in the Ross Institute (estimated commencement time of Noon).

Members are invited to assemble at the Ross Institute, where they will board a bus at 10.00am, which will take them to the application site.  Tea and coffee will be available for Members only, at the Ross Institute from 9.30am.  Members are respectfully reminded to wear clothing appropriate to the weather conditions.


At the conclusion of the site inspection, the bus will return to the Institute where the meeting will commence no earlier than Noon. Lunch will be provided at the Ulbster Arms, Halkirk.

Members are reminded that in the determination of a planning application, to be entitled to participate, they must be present throughout all of the proceedings, including the site inspection.


You are invited to attend the meeting and a note of the business to be considered is attached.

Nature of Development: Electricity Act 1989 – Section 36 - Application to the Scottish Government – Erection of 30 Wind Turbines (77.5MW) with a Height of 70m to Hub and 110m to Blade Tip.  Installation of Associated Infrastructure, Site Tracks, Temporary Contractors Compound and Hard Standing, and Erection of 2 Permanent Anemometer Masts
Recommendation: No objection.
