7. Highland Licensing Board Policy Statement –

(a) Consideration of Forum’s consultation response to policy document – discussion should focus on the attached questionnaire issued by the Board.  The Forum may also consider any other aspect of the policy and members are invited to submit suggestions to the Clerk.  It has already been suggested that the following issues are particularly worthy of consideration:-

(i) Members’ Clubs – clarification of the Board’s expectations of Clubs, particularly in light of the response the Board sent to the Government’s consultation paper in March;     


(ii) Clarification of the Board’s stewarding requirements and the Board’s expectations of SIA licensed stewards and of unlicensed stewards;


(iii) admission of children to licensed premises – guidance regarding baby changing facilities, guidance regarding age verification obligations;


(iv) occasional licences; and,


(v) adult entertainment.

(b) Literature Review of Glassing and Use of Polycarbonates (item placed on the agenda at the request of Elizabeth Smart, Public Health Consultant)

Notes –

1. Any Forum member unable to attend the meeting should submit apologies to the Clerk by email as soon as possible. 

2. At the close of the meeting Rosemary Mackinnon, the Council’s Equalities Officer will conduct a short Awareness Session for Forum members on Equality issues.  The session will last approximately fifteen minutes.  All Forum members are encouraged to attend.
