Minute of the meeting of the Highland Licensing Board held in the Council Chamber, Council Headquarters, Glenurquhart Road, Inverness, on Tuesday 1 November 2016 at 1.00pm.

The Convener advised the Board that the meeting would be filmed and broadcast over the internet on the Highland Council website and would be archived and available for viewing for 12 months.

There had been circulated Report No HLB/099/16 detailing licences which had been granted under delegated powers by the Clerk to the Board during the period 21 September 2016 to 18 October 2016 and inviting the Board to note the report.

The Board NOTED the report.

7.1       Applicant: Mr Paul Burke

There had been circulated Report No HLB/104/16 by the Clerk which advised that notification had been received from Police Scotland under Section 73 of the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005 that the applicant, Mr P Burke, had been convicted of relevant offences, details of which he had declared on his application form.

The Solicitor explained that the applicant was unable to attend the meeting as he was on holiday and that this had been arranged prior to notification of the date of the hearing.

Sergeant B Gray confirmed that Police Scotland had no objection to the application.

The Board AGREED to grant the application.

8.  Surrender of premises licence

The Board NOTED the above premises licence had been surrendered in terms of Section 28(5)(f) of the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005..
