A Special Meeting of the Highland Council will be held on Tuesday, 7 March 2017 in the Assembly Rooms, Wick.

Webcast Notice: This meeting will be filmed and broadcast over the Internet on the Highland Council website and will be archived and available for viewing for 12 months thereafter.

Please note that the meeting will commence with a Site Visit – the coach will leave the Assembly Rooms, Wick at 10.30 am prompt. In this regard, Members are respectfully reminded to wear clothing and footwear appropriate to the site and weather conditions.

Thereafter, the application will be determined in the Assembly Rooms with the meeting starting at 1.00 pm (or at the conclusion of the site visit if later).

Members are reminded that during determination of any item they must be present throughout the whole of that item in order to be entitled to participate.

Members are further reminded that mobile devices, including mobile phones, can be used for following the agenda/reports and delivering speeches but should not be used for any form of communication (text or tweet) during the site visit and meeting.

Location: Land 810 m SW of Noss Farm, Wick (Ward 03)
Nature of Development: Erection of a high voltage direct current switching station.
Recommendation: Grant. 

This item is subject to a pre-determination hearing.  A copy of the Council’s Planning Applications Hearing Procedure is appended to the report.

A copy of the Council’s Planning Applications Site Visit Procedure is also appended to the report.
