North Planning Committee grants approval for Black Isle Care home
Members of The Highland Council’s North Planning Applications Committee have approved plans for a 40 bedroom care home to be built on the Black Isle.
The application, which was recommended for refusal by planners, is for the development of a site in Fortrose. It follows a previous application by the same applicant – Parklands Developments Ltd - that was refused in June 2016 under delegated powers.
During the Committee, held today in Inverness, local councillors Jennifer Barclay and Gordon Adam spoke in support of the application. Following a debate the Committee granted approval subject to a number of conditions to be agreed with planning officials, the chair and local members.
