Proposed establishment of new Inverness Primary School

Highland Council is to seek the views of local communities on a proposal to establish a new primary school in Inverness, to serve the Ness Castle and Ness-side housing developments.

Members of the Council’s People Committee have agreed to undertake a public consultation on the proposal. 

The consultation will take place under procedures set down in The Schools (Consultation) (Scotland) Act 2010. 

The views of parents, school pupils, the local community and others will be sought over a period extending from 23 October to 1 December 2017. 

A public meeting will be held at Holm Primary School, Inverness on 8 November at 7pm.
