Vegetation clearance work starts in Dingwall next week

As part of the council requirement to maintain the Dingwall Flood Defences we have appointed a contractor (Apex Trees) to carry out vegetation clearance on a section of the flood defences. The section is from the railway line down to and around Ferry Point. The work is due to start on Monday 20th November and is expected to last a couple of weeks.

For the contractor to safely carry out this work part of the core path that runs on top of the embankment will need to be closed. This is likely to be during week commencing 27th November for approx. two weeks on weekdays only during daylight hours. Notices will be in place in advance of the path being closed. We would ask people to follow any on site instructions and use Ferry Road to access Ferry Point when necessary
