Date for next meeting of the Inverness Community Partnership

Inverness Community Partnership (ICP) will meet for the final time this year on Wednesday 13th December, 5.30pm to 7.30pm at Hilton Community Centre.

At its last meeting in September the Partnership focussed on priorities for the Merkinch area of Inverness and the Highland Violence Against Women Partnership gave a presentation looking at opportunities to work collaboratively to prevent violence against women.

The Partnership consists of representatives from public agencies, the third sector and voluntary groups who come together to work together with the people of Inverness to focus on priorities and deliver better outcomes for the Partnership area.

Members of the public are encouraged to come along on the 13 December and hear about the work the Partnership has been undertaking with communities to develop local action plans.

The meeting will also welcome Tracie McDermott from the Army Welfare Service who will be discussing her role and how the service can be better connected to the work of the Partnership.

Chair of the Inverness Community Partnership, Councillor Graham Ross said: “The meeting is being held in public so anyone interested is invited to come along to listen to the discussions and at the end, there will be an opportunity for the public to ask questions.

“The Partnership is very much action focused and outcome driven. The public agencies, community groups and individuals taking part all share the goal of wanting to make our communities across Inverness better, more inclusive and accessible places to live and work in. this is therefore a good opportunity to come along find out about the progress being made to take forward local plans.
