Strathconon Primary to remain open in New Year

Highland Council has continued to seek to identify teaching staff for Strathconon Primary School in the New Year.

The Council is pleased to confirm that this has proved successful, and the school will be able to open as normal at the start of the next term.

Parents were advised of this, at a meeting today with Jim Steven, Head of Education.

Bill Alexander, Director of Care and Learning said:

“The challenge of teacher recruitment remains a high priority for the Council and all other Northern Alliance authorities.  We will continue to develop new initiatives, and work with the Scottish Government and other partners, to address this challenge.”
