Residents in Tain and Easter Ross are reminded that £15,000 of community cash has been set aside using funds from The Highland Council’s local Ward Discretionary budget and Scottish Government funding to support local community projects.

The deadline for applications for Tain and Easter Ross community cash is Monday 22 January 2018.

Application forms can be downloaded from The Highland Council Website at: www.highland.gov.uk/tainpb

Contact details on the application form are available for people wishing to discuss their project or to get help with their application.

Potential applicants can also drop in to one of 4 project workshops being held at the following locations:

  • Seaboard Memorial Hall, Balintore on 10 Jan from 10am to 12noon;  
  • Inver Hall on 10 January at 11am;
  • Carnegie Hall Portmahomack on 10 Jan from 4pm to 5.30pm; and
  • Tain and District Youth Cafe YMCA, Tain on 11 Jan from 10am to 12noon.

A community event will be held at the Duthac Centre in Tain on Saturday 24 February starting at 10am when members of the public will vote to decide the projects that they think best meet their community needs and priorities.
