Helping businesses and third sector supply to the public sector

The Highland Council and its Commercial and Procurement Shared Services partners Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire Councils are running a series of events to help businesses supply to the public sector.  Some of the events are hosted by other organisations and we will be signposting suppliers to these as well.

The programme of events for Highland aims to increase understanding of public sector procurement policy/legislation by offering practical support.

The first four events can be attended by webinar, making it easier for businesses to participate in their busy schedules.

On Tuesday 23 and Wednesday 24 January from 9:30am – 10:45 am the first 2 webinars will cover “Tender Procedures and the European Single Procurement Document (ESPD) formerly known as the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire. Register online at: https://www.sdpscotland.co.uk/events/webinar-tender-procedures-espd-4/

On Monday 12 and Tuesday 13 February from 2pm – 2:45pm a further 2 webinars will cover “Finding and understanding framework opportunities”. A speaker from Scotland Excel explains what a framework agreement is; what frameworks exist in Scotland; their methods of use and the expectations and rights of suppliers. Also on Tuesday 6 March from 9:30am to 2pm there will be a “Supplying to the Public Sector” event at Tulloch Caledonian Stadium, Inverness. Highland Council is pleased to be able to offer this event in conjunction with Partnership for Procurement.

Partnership for Procurement is a new initiative funded through the Scottish Government’s 10 Year Social Enterprise Strategy; supporting social enterprises and third sector organisations to better access public contracts and build partnerships/consortia.
