​​​​​​​Highland Community Councils form after interim elections 

Seven Highland community councils have been formed following the recent interim elections.

They are:

• Cawdor and West Nairnshire Community Council
• Castletown Community Council
• Grantown on Spey Community Council
• Hilton, Milton & Castle Heather Community
• Laggan Community Council
• Muir of Ord Community Council
• Strathpeffer Community Council

Two other community councils - Dunvegan and Staffin - failed to attract half the maximum membership so have not been established.
