Night time closures lifted for B9006 Culloden Road - Over-bridge carriageway

The Highland Council is informing users of the B9006 Culloden Road - Over-bridge that the overnight closures have been lifted and thanks everyone for their patience.

Cllr Trish Robertson, Vice Chair of the Council’s Environment, Development and Infrastructure Committee said:

“The Council’s contractors Wills Bros and site staff have done an excellent job, keeping the B9006 open and traffic flowing throughout the works with minimal overnight closures.

“The overnight closures are now lifted and I would like to thank Wills Bros for the excellent job they are doing including the recently completed resurfacing and new road markings.

“The works are well on target for full completion and I am impressed with the progress.”

These works are the final parts of a £0.5M contract awarded by The Highland Council to Wills Bros to carry out works to add an additional westbound lane for city centre traffic. The scheme will provide two continuous lanes for traffic between the Inverness Campus junction and Inshes Roundabout and it will widen Culloden Road’s approach to the Roundabout.
