Nairn Academy is to host a Careers and Learner Pathways Event on Thursday 7 February between 6:30pm and 8:30pm.

The event, which is timed to coincide with pupils making their course choices for next session, will be attended by all school departments along with a wide range of employers, training providers and providers of Further and Higher Education.

Over 50 different organisations are booked in to the event.

Nairn Academy Pupils in S2 to S6 and their parents are encouraged to attend.

Head Teacher Julie MacDonald said: “The event is intended to create opportunities for pupils and their parents and carers to, meet local and national employers.

“They will have the chance to seek industry advice on career paths and contacts, discuss course choices, and meet with guidance and career advice staff.

“Pupils, parents and carers will also be able to learn more about our new qualifications and courses, meet with further and higher education and training providers, ask about entry requirements and processes, and talk to teaching staff.”
