Tribute to Harry Lawless

The Highland Council has paid tribute to former Inverness Victorian Market Superintendent Harry Lawless who died recently.

Mr Lawless was Superintendent at the Victorian Market for over 20 years both with Highland Council and the former Inverness District Council. He retired in 2010.

David Haas, Inverness City Area Manager said:

“Harry is fondly remembered by those who worked with him both in the Council and among the Market Traders. He was a passionate ambassador for the Market and was well known for his love of Christmas. He is remembered as a very genuine person and always carried out his duties in a most obliging manner.”

“Our deepest condolences go out to his family and friends.”
