A9 Tain South Junction closure

Issued on behalf of BEAR Scotland

BEAR Scotland, acting on behalf of Transport Scotland, are planning to carry out essential resurfacing works on a section of the A9 Trunk Road, on the Tain Bypass.

The works will require the Tain South junction with the A9 to remain closed between the hours of 1900hrs and 0700hrs from Sunday 10th March to Friday 15th March and traffic will be diverted onto the B9174 via the Tain North Junction.

During working hours, temporary traffic lights will be in place and a 10mph speed restriction will be enforced. A convoy system will be in operation to ensure the safety of our workforce and members of the travelling public. Outside of the working hours, traffic management will be removed, and the junction will be reopened. However, a 30mph speed limit will remain in place as traffic will be travelling over a temporary road surface.

Bear Scotland would like to take this opportunity to thank the local community for their patience whilst these essential works are undertaken.

Anyone with specific concerns or who requires further information please contact Calum Farquharson on 03300 080592 or e-mail at NWConsultation@bearscotland.co.uk.
