Borders area joins Leisure Link Partnership providing more Leisure access across Scotland
The LeisureLink Partnership which includes High Life Highland today announced a new member to the partnership taking the total to five areas of Scotland that will see highlife members able to access free use of leisure facilities outside the Highland region at Live Borders facilities for the first time.
The Leisure Link Partnership, designed and managed by High Life Highland means that when working away from home or on holiday members from participating areas can, at no extra cost, use the local facilities as part of their existing home based membership.
Chair of Community Leisure UK in Scotland and High Life Highland Chief Executive Ian Murray said, “I am delighted to see the Leisure Link Partnership expanding already a couple of months after it has been introduced. This means highlife leisure members can now access leisure facilities in Moray, The Western Isles, Orkney, Argyll and Bute and the Borders at no extra cost.
Mr Murray concluded, “Along with the other participating areas, I am delighted to welcome Live Borders to the Leisure Link Partnership and look forward to seeing the scheme develop and grow as other areas see the benefits for their members and look to come on board.”
Ben Lamb, Director of Operations at charity Live Borders, said: “We have a commitment to people across the Borders being healthier, happier and stronger, and this can now apply to people visiting the Borders as well as living here.
“We are constantly looking for ways to widen the services offered to Live Borders’ One Club members and the Leisure Link Partnership offers flexibility to locals and visitors alike.
“As an organisation we are very committed to collaborating, and the Leisure Link Partnership is an excellent opportunity for us to work in partnership with likeminded organisations as well as maximise benefits for our members.”
