Notice of road closures during Inverness Christmas Lights switch on and parade on Sunday

Highland Council is advising members of the public about a number of road closures which take effect on Sunday (17 November 2019), during the Christmas Lights switch on, ceremony and parade in Inverness city centre.

Kingsmills Road will be closed at its junction with Union Road to its junction with Midmills Road between 5.40pm and 5.50pm. Midmills Road will be closed at its junction with Kingsmills Road to its junction with Crown Circus between the same times.

Stephens Street will be closed at its junction with Kingsmills Road to its junction with Stephens Brae between 5.45pm and 5.55pm. Stephens Brae will be closed at its junction with Stephens Street to its junction with Eastgate between the same times.

Eastgate will be closed at its junction with Stephen’s Brae to its junction with High Street between 5.45pm and 6pm. High Street will be closed at its junction with Eastgate to its junction with Castle Street between 5.45pm and 6pm.

High Street will also be closed at its junction with Castle Street to its junction with Bridge Street between 5pm and 6.30pm. Bridge Street will be closed at its junction with High Street to its junction with Castle Road between 5pm and 6.30pm.

Castle Road will be closed at its junction with Bridge Street to its junction with View Place between 5pm and 6.30pm. And Ness Bank and Cavell Gardens Road will be closed at their junction with Castle Road to its junction with Island Bank Road between 5pm and 6.30pm.
