William Gilfillan, Area Manager for Nairn as well as Badenoch and Strathspey, has been appointed Corporate Manager for Inverness Nairn and Badenoch and Strathspey.

The post of Corporate Manager for Ross Skye and Lochaber is to be advertised externally.

The Council has agreed to move from eight Council areas to three  operational management areas and Council Services are reorganising management arrangements to reflect these new area boundaries.

The Corporate Managers will be the lead officers in the new operational areas and will ensure the efficient administration and delivery of services within their area, reporting to the Chief Executive.

The Council has also agreed to appoint a City Manager for Inverness and 16 Ward Managers. These appointments will be made next month.
