Scottish Water to carry out manhole repair in Old Edinburgh Road, Inverness

Essential work to repair a manhole cover on Old Edinburgh Road, Inverness, will be carried out next week, Scottish Water has advised. 

The repairs, which will be completed by Scottish Water’s contractor Kier, will take place on Wednesday, January 15, between 9.30am and 3.30pm to avoid peak time traffic. 

A road closure will be in place for this period on Old Edinburgh Road between Hilton Avenue and Ross Court, with a signposted diversion via Balloan Road, Culduthel Road, Muirfield Road and Muirfield Lane. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. 

A Scottish Water spokesperson said: "We would like to thank customers and road users for their patience and understanding while this essential repair work is completed. Our team on site will be working to keep disruption to a minimum, but we apologise for any inconvenience caused."
