A835 / B9163 Conon Bridge & Corntown crossroads junctions closure

Issued on behalf of BEAR Scotland

BEAR Scotland, acting on behalf of Transport Scotland, are planning to carry out essential resurfacing works on a section of the A835 Trunk Road, at Conon Bridge.

The works will require the B9163 junctions with Conon Bridge and Corntown to be closed overnight as required between the hours of 19:00 and 07:00 from Tuesday 10th March to Friday 13th March and from Monday 16th March to Saturday 21st March.

Traffic will be diverted along the A835 and the A862 via Maryburgh for Conon Bridge.

Traffic will also be diverted along the A835, B9169 and then the U2735 Leanaig crossroads to Corntown road.

During working hours, temporary traffic lights will be in place and a 10mph speed restriction will be enforced. A convoy system will be in operation to ensure the safety of our workforce and members of the travelling public. Outside of working hours, traffic management will be removed, and the junction will be reopened. However, a 30mph speed limit will remain in place as traffic will be travelling over a temporary road surface.

Bear Scotland would like to take this opportunity to thank the local community for their patience while these essential works are undertaken.
