Executive Chief Officer for Health and Social Care, Lesley Weber is to leave The Highland Council in September 2020.

Lesley, who previously worked for Hackney Local Authority in London, expressed how much she has enjoyed working for the Council:

“She said: “It is with sadness that I am leaving the Highlands after 12 months and I am grateful for the warm welcome I have received since being here. I am impressed with the endless commitment and dedication shown by staff during what has been a particularly challenging time for Highland, amplified by the impact of Covid. This crisis will have touched the lives of so many, both personally and professionally, yet staff across health and social care pulled together swiftly and unanimously, demonstrating the strengths and passion held within Highland.”

Chair of the Council’s Health and Social Care Committee, Cllr Linda Munro said:

“We are all sad to see Lesley go due to unforeseen family circumstances. In the relatively short time we got to know her she touched us all as a valued and respected colleague. I wish her all the very best for her future.”

The Council will now move to begin the recruitment process for this important Executive Chief Officer post.
