‘Waterslides’ Guided Walk

Highland Council’s Countryside Rangers have organised a guided walk looking at the habitats and wildlife that live in a hidden part of Glen Feshie in Badenoch and Strathspey.

Countryside Ranger Duncan Macdonald said: “This is a great opportunity to come and visit the spectacular water slides which are rather unique in the area.

“Surrounded by ancient Caledonian Pine forest, there is a whole different world up there in Glen Feshie to explore.”

Suitable for well shod adults, the walk takes place on Wednesday 24th January from 10am to 12pm.  Anyone wishing to come should meet up at Achlean Carpark in Glen Feshie. Turn left off the B970 at Feshie Bridge signed Achlean and continue 4 miles to the carpark.

This guided walk is part of a programme of guided walks and events organised by Highland Council’s Countryside Rangers throughout the Highlands. Copies of the programmes can be found on the Council’s website or by telephoning: 01540 673 907.

The Highland Council Countryside Rangers are a partnership between The Highland Council and Scottish Natural Heritage with the aim of promoting public enjoyment and appreciation of the countryside and conserving wildlife.
