Temporary road closure in Rosehall, Lairg

The Highland Council is advising drivers that a temporary road closure will be in operation in Rosehall, Lairg from 9.00 on 18 January to 17.00 on 5 February.

The section affected will be the A839 Lairg - Rosehall, closed from its junction with the A837 Invershin - Lochinver Road, to its junction with Achany wind farm access road.

This is necessary to allow the Highland Council’s contractors to create a safe working area to allow for deep structural patching and overlays to single track sections of road with narrow/soft verges.

Access will be maintained for emergency vehicles, school transport vehicles, refuse collection vehicles and pedestrians.

To avoid the road closure an alternative route will be available via the A837 Invershin - Lochinver Road, and the A836 Dornoch Bridge - Tongue - John O' Groats Road.
