Temporary road closure – A839 Lairg - Rosehall

From the 22 February 2021 to 31 March 2021, motorists are being advised by The Highland Council that there will be a temporary road closure on the A839 Lairg - Rosehall, closed from its junction with the A837 Invershin - Lochinver Road to its junction with Achany wind farm access road. The temporary closure will be in operation from 9:00 until 17:00 each day.

The road closure is necessary to create a safe working area to allow for deep structural patching and overlays to single track sections of road with narrow/soft verges.

Access will be maintained for emergency vehicles and vehicles employed to carry out the works, whilst pedestrian access, refuse collection and school transport will be controlled.

To avoid the road closure, alternative routes will be available via the A837 Invershin - Lochinver Road, and the A836 Dornoch Bridge - Tongue - John O' Groats Road.
