Story Teller Enchants Families

On Saturday 28 July local story teller and artist Lizzie MacDougall will be telling traditional Highland stories and legends and Inverness Museum and Art Gallery.

This fun free event exploring the magic of Highland folk tales runs from 1.30pm to 3.30pm.  Over the afternoon Lizzie will explore folklore about animals and plants that go back for hundreds of years. She will tell stories of the fairies cattle, owls that take you on moonlight journeys and ravens that find you the victory stone.

Lizzie has also produced a series of panels that she will use to illustrate her stories. The panels were made in partnership with five Ross-shire primary schools and use objects like the wolf stone from the museum as inspiration.

This story telling event is part of the summer in the city youth festival which is supported by the Inverness City Centre Management as well as the Inverness Museum and Art Gallery.
