UPDATED: Temporary road closures in Inverness

UPDATE: The Highland Council has been notified that the contractor, working on behalf of ‘Scottish Water’, no longer requires Burn Road, Inverness to be closed overnight on Monday 22 March. These works have been cancelled and may be rescheduled in the future. 

This does not relate to Balloch – Culloden Moor Road, Inverness-shire which is still scheduled for closure.

 

Motorists are being advised by The Highland Council that there will be temporary road closures in the Inverness area on Monday 22 March in 2 locations: C1028 Balloch - Culloden Moor Road and Burn Road.


C1028 Balloch – Culloden Moor Road, Inverness-shire

There will be a temporary road closure of part of C1028 Balloch – Culloden Moor Road, Inverness, on Monday 22 March between the hours of 19:30 until 23:30.

The closure is required to essential public utility maintenance works to safely proceed. The works are being carried out on behalf of Scottish Water.

Access will be maintained for pedestrians and vehicles employed to carry out the works. An alternative route will be available for all other vehicular traffic.

 

Burn Road, Inverness

There will be a temporary closure of Burn Road, Inverness which will come into operation at 20:00 on Monday 22 March 2021 and shall remain in effect until 6:00 on Tuesday 23 March 2021.

The closure is required to enable a contractor, working on behalf of Scottish Water, to carry out public utility infrastructure inspection and investigation works.

Access will be maintained for pedestrians and vehicles employed to carry out the works. An alternative route will be available for all other vehicular traffic.
